No Warrant Needed to Search Work Computers
You probably already know this, but it is always good to be reminded. A story in CNET.com states that an appeals court in the state of Washington has ruled that a search warrant is not needed in order for authorities to examine an employee's computer. All that is needed is the consent of the owner of the computer. If you work for a government agency, consent is assumed. Your computer and its contents can be examined at any time.
